Alfons Hymer, the father of Erwin Hymer, had operated a repair shop in Bad Waldsee since 1923. In 1956, Erich Bachem made the first caravan to a customer order, and in 1957 designer Erwin Hymer created the prototype “Eriba” range, the original Trolls.
The Bad Waldsee Caravan Club is a “virtual” campsite where you can pitch your Eriba or Hymermobil for FREE, forever! Meet fellow enthusiasts, upload progress photos and generally just hang out.
There isn’t normally a huge amount of traffic here, it’s not a Facebook group or forum, think of it as a marker place for you and your pride and joy on the internet.
You can become a supporter of the club and help the development of new products that can be found at Retro Caravan Stuff the number one choice for replacement badges and vintage brand merchandise.
There is absolutely no obligation to become a supporter but if you wish to know more here are some details:
Standard membership includes:
Online Registration + Access to the Eriba Owners Directory & Social Network
Numbered Medallion + Certificate of Club Registration
PVC retro logo keychain
VIP Membership includes:
All Standard member rewards
+ T Shirt, Tote Bag & Mug
Set of Stickers & Pin Badges
I think it’s important to preserve this kind of information as classic Eribas become more rare and ownership changes.. With your support we can make sure the site remains free for everybody no matter where they come from, and we can preserve the history and timeline of each registered Eriba.
Whether you are a supporter or not we are all members of the Bad Waldsee Caravan Club.
